Ambassadors
Pere, head of post-sales service at Batec Mobility, is in charge of installing our handbikes on users' wheelchairs, repairing them and advising official national services. He loves castells and, although he cannot participate, he stays a part of it by taking his daughter to practice.
Teresa Silva (paraplegic, Madrid) is passionate about adaptive alpine skiing and sailing, balancing her sport and family life with her work at the También Foundation, which she founded. This organisation aims to promote social inclusion of people with disabilities through inclusive sports.
Our employee of the month for January is Joan, our receptionist. He answers all the calls that come in and happily transfers them to the right department to resolve any doubts about our handbikes. Animals are his great passion and he dreams of setting up a centre for abandoned dogs in the future.
Stuart Dunne, owner of Cyclone Technologies, our partner in the United Kingdom, tells us about how he started Cyclone Technologies after a traffic accident left him quadriplegic. Plus, he explains his point of view as a worker and businessman with a disability leading a company.
Carlos Aguado, salesperson for the central zone, is our employee of the month for December. He has been in a wheelchair for twenty-five years and has had an extensive, successful sports career. He joined the Batec Mobility team in 2009 as a commercial ambassador for our handbikes, a position he continues to hold to this day.
Mauricio, who next Friday will set off on a more than 1,300-km cycling journey to Paris to fight climate change, is our employee of the month for November. This bike-lover and tireless defender of the environment is part of the team of mechanics that manufactures our handbikes.
