Last weekend Joan Lascorz, quadriplegic rally driver, won the buggies category and came third in the general classification in the Guadalajara Off Road Rally, one of the favourite circuits of lovers of motor sport and of the Spanish Off Road Rally Championship.
Joan Lascorz, first quadriplegic driver with victories under his belt.
The team formed by Lascorz/Brugué came in third, 7 minutes and 15 seconds behind the winner in the general category and has had two consecutive victories in the buggies category. This is without doubt a fantastic result and confirms the rise of the driver from the Glanner -17 Foundation who is competing in the Spanish Off Road Rally Championship against drivers with no disabilities. Joan is the first quadriplegic driver with victories under his belt. And Joan has demonstrated once again on his adapted Polaris RZR XP 1000 that neither the wheelchair nor such a severe spinal injury as his are obstacles to winning the championship.
