An Wauters always dreamt of training her dog to do AGILITY. Twenty years later, her dream has come true with the help of her BATED HYBRID handbike. Thanks to her Batec, she is more independent and can train her dog from her wheelchair.
Juancho (quadriplegic) is passionate about the sea, despite having suffered a very serious accident on his 30th birthday while surfing at Punta Colorada. The accident caused a severe spinal injury. Now, 11 years have passed and this Uruguayan hasn't traded in his waves. "Surfing makes me happy."
The story of Michael (the United Kingdom) is a story about his passion for sport. He was born with cerebral palsy which affects both his upper and lower limbs. However, this handicap has not been an obstacle for achieving his goals: obtain a BA (Hons) degree and become a great sportsman.
Magda (paraplegic, Poland) had a car accident in 2011. In the beginning it was difficult for her to get used to life in a wheelchair, but her son Kevin was her main motivation to get out and become super active. Now she's an all-terrain mum on her Batec handbike.
Enrico (quadriplegic, Italy) is a draftsman, artist, athlete, president of the Skarrozzata and a great defender of human rights and environmental sustainability. This Christmas, he got his BATEC QUAD HYBRID handbike and has already put more than 300 kilometres on it.
Silvia (paraplegic, Girona) loves travelling, playing tennis and hanging out with her friends. After spending the past eleven years studying and working, Silvia is now "happy, motivated and fulfilled," excited to live life to the fullest and travel as much as she can with her handbike to discover the world.
